Points are based on real-world distance between the plate's state and your anchor (home state or trip route). A plate from your home state scores 25 pts. A plate from across the country can score up to 500 pts. The farther the plate traveled, the more it's worth — that's the whole game.

Go to Settings → Home State and pick a new state from the list. Your score history stays intact — only new plates scored after the change will use the updated anchor.

Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases at the bottom. Sign in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase, and your unlocks will be restored automatically. If you still have trouble, email us and we'll sort it out.

Unfortunately, game progress is stored locally on your device and a reset cannot be undone. Purchases (skins, remove ads) are always recoverable via Restore Purchases. If you'd like us to look into anything, email us.

Washington D.C. is a bonus territory — it appears in the South region with a special BONUS badge. Claiming it earns a flat 25 pts plus a +100 coin bonus and a 24-shot firework barrage. It doesn't count toward your 50-state completion because it isn't a state — but it's absolutely worth spotting.

You earn coins by claiming plates, completing streaks, finishing regions, and watching optional rewarded ads (opt-in only, never auto-played). Coins can be used to unlock premium plate skins in the Skin Shop. All skins can also be unlocked with a one-time purchase if you prefer.

The Remove Ads purchase hides the rewarded ad option entirely — you won't see ad prompts in the Skin Shop or Settings. You keep all coins you've already earned. It's a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Yes. Core gameplay — spotting plates, scoring, streaks, and stats — works fully offline. An internet connection is only needed to process in-app purchases or watch rewarded ads.
